Wicanders Hydrocork now has the UPEC classification

Wicanders flooring products can now be used in sites with UPEC classification in France. The CSTB organization handled the company the technical application document for Hydrocork range that allows its usage in sites U3P3E2C2.

This certification represents access to public projects in France (such as schools, kindergardens, hospitals or administrative offices) but also to large hotels and offices. The French regulation demands this classification for all products to be used in public buildings.

Wicanders can now use its Hydrocork range in all these sites. Hydrocork, which was launched in 2015, is a flooring solution with a cork core that provides walking comfort and noise reduction, besides being waterproof. Finished with a 0,55mm wear layer, it can be used in high traffic commercial areas. Hydrocork is the ideal solution for all kinds of spaces, being residential or commercial, and is also easy to install.

Hydrocork has been used in high traffic areas (such as hotels and offices) all over the world. This support allowed the product to enter architectural offices in France and to position itself in a stable and durable way in the prescription market.

What is UPEC?

1, 2, 3 e 4 correspond to the resistance levels, being 1 the weakest and 4 the strongest. Hydrocork can be used in sites with U3P3E2C2 classification.
